January 2012 Hotbuys!

So yesterday Stardoll released the January Hotbuys!

Shorts in January? Well if you live in Austrailia ( where it's Summer. ) then I supposeit's alright but if you are in the Northern Hemisphere the most of these are WAY out of season.
Not the biggest fan of neon. Never have ( well in the summer of 2009 I had a teeny tiny obsession with neon green, but those days are long gone.) and never will. So for bright pinks and teals to be released in JANUARY, it's a bit odd.

This post may look slightly different. I am typing from the wireless keyboard on the family Wii, so instead of my usual " COmpose" option I had to use edit HTML.
Anyway the reason I haven't been posting a lot is because of the fact that I have a very big post coming. And ever since Monday, I have been working on it. I am not going to spoil it, but you will see it on NYE.
Some of you have asked me if I have stopped making tutorials, I certainly have not! I intended my NYE tutorial to be my last one for this year. I am gathering up ideas for new tutorials as I am typing this.
I know abou the Popshop floors and January Hotbuys. Right now my dad is ussing my PC and well this Wii doesn't have a paint. So tomorrow I will be posting about those.

Voile Holiday Boutique released!

Hey Guys,

So yesterday Stardoll released the Voile Holiday Boutique!

I am a bit curious why they released it after Christmas. But better late then never, right?

The dresses, as usual, are stunning! Even better than stunning!

I bought one dress, the "Purple Fleaur Waterfall dress." At a decent price of 15 Stardollars. And then I bought one accessory, the diamond knee high tights for 54 starcoins.

Prices range from 52 Starcoins ( equal to 5 stardollars) to 20 stardollars.

Over-all, an amazing store, may be late, but it still is beautiful!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas my dear followers and friends!

It is about 6:44 in the morning, where I am, sadly there is no snow on the ground. My presents have already been opened and now I plan on kicking back today, read a book or too, maybe watch football ( Not soccar, American Football) with my father. Today isn't going to be anything major.

Usually on Christmas I reflect on what happened this year. This year has really been memorable. I'm not going to go on because I'll wait until NYE ( New Years Eve) to ramble about my doings for 2011.

Anyway, I'm going to go. Have a wonderful Christmas!

I was the seventh person to own the Daphene Cuff?

Hey Guys,

So today I was looking through my medoll's wardrobe and I found my Daphene Cuff, the one I purchased when the Last Young Hollywood collection was released.

Then I looked at the tag, I was the seventh person to buy it?

With stores like Young Hollywood and LE, I tend to stick with the accessories because they are cheaper and can be more versatile than the clothes. Young Hollywood is certainly not my favorite store out in the Starplaza, if anything LE is much more better in quality and most of the time you can find something you like.

I only purchased the Daphene cuff because  it was  cheap, and cute. I had no intention of being the seventh person to own it. So it came to my surprise that I was the seventh person to buy it.

I can tell it wasn't a very popular item. The second collection of Young Hollywood has been here since September 19th, it's now December 23rd and they haven't been sold out yet. Actually there is still a lot of items in this Young Hollywood collection that haven't been sold out. So if you're wanting to grab a few items from the collection, I suggest you do it now.

Young Hollywood is a store that isn't going to be as hyped as LE, of course it's only in it's second collection and maybe next year or something it could be a big hype or somewhat the items could be valuable. LE was introduced in 2008, and people thought the prices were a glitch since they were so high. Now, when Young Hollywood was released in June of this year, people were used to high prices, especially at items like Hotbuys which were priced at 18-30 stardollars for a dress.

If you  are a new comer to Stardoll and you don't know what Young Hollywood is or LE. Then let me explain.

Limited Edition ( shortened as LE) is a limited store that is released every 3-4 months. Items are limited and prices are high. In the recent collections you can also purchase the interiors of the store. Items are usually very highly desired after they leave the store. Items usually sell out within the first day the store is released. LE was released sometime in fall of 2008. The most recent collection was released December 5th, 2011.

In March 2011, LE released LE Decor, another limited store. But instead of Clothing, LE decor offers accessories.  The most recent LE Decor collection was released October 18th ( or 17th, not sure) 2011.

Young Hollywood is another limited store. Items are inspired by "celebs" who live in Hollywood. Like LE, Young Hollywood clothing and interiors are also limited and prices are a bit lower than LE but still high. You can also purchase the interiors of the store for around 50-100 stardollars. Everything in both stores is Superstar only. Young Hollywood was released June 7th, 2011. The second ( and most recent) collection was released September 19th, 2011.

You may ask how do these stores compare. They are comparable because they are both limited. And they both have clothes that are priced very high.

Gucci Tribute released.

Hey Guys,

So since Satursday night, spoilers have been going around about the Gucci Holiday Tribute!

And yesterday it was finally released!

It's an alright tribute. I see a few items here that I could fit onto my doll.

My favorites would have to be the:

Olive green dress, Black Winter hat, Orange Polka dot skirt, Red Peacoat dress, Purple Faux leather dress, and Black Pleather boots.

Prices range from 4-32 stardollars. A major difference there.

The tribute is nice, no doubt about it, but I think I was expecting more " upscale" feel. I mean Gucci is top notch designer here!

But it still is nice...

I bought the Gucci Black Winter hat for 8 Stardollars, it's on my doll right now :)

Working on 3 tutorials

Hey Guys,

So I am working on 3 tutorials!

The first is my News Years inspired. It will go up early because with the Holidays here I may forget to put it up on NYE.

The second is my last Holiday Tutorial. Called " Classic Christmas".

The third is my Ice Queen tutorial.

They should all go up tonight or tomorrow =)

PS: I'm on Winter break until January 2nd! Yay!!
