It looks like sometime next week I could get my internet back!!!!

So I am very very sorry for the lack of posts. 29 in January and 22 in February. This time last year I was posting more. I am really sorry about the lack of posting and I will make it up to you all in March!

New Store: Velvet Orchid

Happy Leap Day everyone!

Today stardoll released a new Store called Velvet Orchid.

I personally think the store reminds me a little too much of Evening Falls, except for everything is velvet. I am not big on Velvet. I never have been.

Overall the store is so-so.

Updated Basics

Hey Guys!

So today Stardoll updated the graphical quality of the store Basics.

I think that the graphics look much better. I really like that they added tights! :)

March hotbuys!!

Hey Guys,

So a few days ago, Stardoll released the March Hotbuys

I am having atrouble finding the theme of this " collection" of Hotbuys. I see more skulls so is it rocker? I see an afro so is it '70s? not very sure.

I do have to say that for march the collection looks very dark. Some of these Hotbuys would be better placed in November than March but some items are really "springy".

Another update :)

It looks like I might be getting back my internet sooner than I thought.

My parents think that it could come back before next weekend :)

That would be wonderful! I really really need to catch up on my posts!
But for now we are sticking to the library computers.

Also I know my last few posts have been short. The reason why is because of this keyboard. I am typing on one old keyboard and it's annoying. WHen my home internet comes back I will fix the mistake.

Free Dolce and Gabanna inspired outfit!

Usually I don't post on Free Stuff.  That has never been this blog's focus. But I thought this was neat and decided to post :)

I am not a fan of the outfit. I mean it's alright but it's not my style.

New Museam Mile!

Hey Guys!
So in September released a new store called Museam Mile.

Bsically the store just had interior pieces inspired by real life art in museamas,

Now the store released it's second "collection"

I don't know what the theme is here. A mix between gift shop,  politics, and dots?
I really like the gift shop idea. I personally think it's nice to have mugs and totes with funny slogans or stuff like that :)

New Tingeling!

Hey Guys! I'm back at the library :)

Yesterday Stardoll released a new Tingeling!

There is three new floors. Each ()ne has excellent graphical quality!
The Balcony Gate jacket really reminds me of the Moto studded jacket fronm Evening Falls

Also the Windy Pond skirt reminds me a LOT of the Artimis Skirt from the Lavain Tribute back in the summer. Except for teh Lanvin one was green.

I also like the fans. I don't think we have seen a animated fan on SD before and they are great for the Beach Villa :)
I also think the "Windblown hat" is really adorable.

I've noticed that with these floors, things are really cheap! :)

Youtube videos are postponed.

I just noticed I had only posted 14 times this month.

So i begged my dad to let me stay a little while longer and I thought I would tell you some updates.

First my Youtube videos are going to be postponed. Simply because of this internet thing. I am writing down a few ideas though :)

#2- This blog will be a little inactive.  Cause of this internet thing. So if I only post 15 or 16 times this month, I am REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY sorry! March will be a MUCH better month.

New Fashion Furniture

Hey Guys!

So a few days ago Stardoll released a new decor store called Fashion Furniture.

I, personally, like this store. Everything is very modern and chic.

I love the makeup tables! I don't think we've every seen anything like them before. They are a little expensive, but totally worth it.

The prices are very decent.

At the moment, my Stardollar account is drained ( I overbought Dot makeup) but when the interent comes back I am going to top up and buy a few things!

So around 6 PM Wednesday my internet started going goofy.

That's why you haven't seen me in 5 days.

I have no internet connection at home so I am typing this on the library computers.

The internet is going to get fixed soon.

it feels... really terrible.

I have 52 minutes before this thing shuts off.

HB Geomatric Dress released

Sorry this is a few days late!

But on Saturday, Stardoll released the HB Geomatric Dress!

You can find it at Fallen Angel for the so-so price of 19 stardollars.

One thing I like about the dress are the patterns. I think the abstract print being colored a pinkish red makes the dress stand out a little more than previous Hotbuys dresses.

I'm not really sure if the "base color" of the ddress is brown or black. I think it's brown.

All-in-all the dress is very nice!

New Decades!

With Decades, I get really excited when a new floor is added. Why? Because of the style of the clothing. Decades is a vintage shop. And I love vintage.

This floor is a little different. I want to say around the clothing takes place sometime in the mid 1940's.

So on Thursday Stardoll released the Hotbuys Zipper Jeans.

I am not the biggest fan. And especially for 16 stardollars! Sorry Stardoll, but there is no way I am paying that much for THESE!

HB Jump Suit

Hey guys,

So I know I haven't posted in awhile. I just got really busy over the weekend with personal matters.

But anyway, yesterday Stardoll released the Hotbuys Jumpsuit!

I personally think it is really cute. Especially if you are doing a 50's themed outfit.

19 stardollars is a bit steep. But in today's Starplaza, it's cheap, in comparisions to Hotbuys dresses ( which range from 18-30 stardollars.).

I do remember in June we had an orange jumpsuit. It had some fruit on it and it was priced at 25 Stardollars. In comparison, the polka dot jumpsuit is cuter and cheaper.

HB Sunglasses Released

Hey Guys,

So today Stardoll released the first hotbuy of February! The first pair of glasses!



Here's how they look on my doll:

I really really like these sunglasses! They look much better on my doll than last month's. And only 10 stardollars? 3 Stardollars cheaper than the January Sunglasses. I bought them :)

I love the design! I think it fits my doll's face better.

To splurge or save: Makeup.

I'm sure, as a Stardoll member, you have seen the prices in the Starplaza go up. I have been a member since March of 2010, and I have.

I do remember the days when a Hotbuys dress was only 14 Stardollars. I do remember the days when good was cheap.

So I am writing this article about saving, spending, and shopping. Enjoy.

Makeup:

Shadesticks- Save

Shade sticks, I like them. I really do. They are good for blending, and they are a nice addition to any SD makeup collection. But look at the price! 9 stardollars?  They may good for blending, but 9 Stardollars can buy me a whole lot more!

Instead, opt for a eyeshadow!

Eye shadows are only 6 stardollars, and come in a wider color selection. 

On the left eye I applied 4 coats of Killer Carmine eyeshadow. On the right eye, I applied 4 coats of Killer Carmine shade stick. Can you tell the difference? I can't!

Lipgloss- Splurge

LUXE Lip gloss is a very popular item here on Stardoll. I see it in a lot of member's parlors  and I have even purchased it. And to me it has come to great use!

Even though 24 stardollars is a hefty price, you will get a whole lot of bang for your buck! I know it will seem like I am exaggerating but I don't know what I would do without it!

You can trust me, it is worth the  price!

Lipstick- Save

Lipstick is nice, don't get me wrong. But when it comes down to it, half of the lipsticks I bought I never wear.

Instead- opt for changing your doll's lip color in the beauty parlor. It doesn't cost anything, and there is some very flattering colors.

Eye Kohls- Splurge

Stardoll's Makeup limit is, indeed, annoying. I have experinced it first hand.  So when i am trying to a decent makeup look and then I run over the limit. I get mad.

But there is another way....

EYE KOHLS!

The picture on the left shows the makeup look with eye kohl. The picture on the right shows the original look.

It enhances your shadow and can add a bit more of a smokey effect to a smokey eye.

New Youtube Video =D

I wanted to do something a bit different, since a lot of my tutorials have been very easy to follow lately. I have been wanting to do more eye liner tutorials ever since my Candy Cane Liner tutorial from Christmas.

Now when doing the liner, note that it won't turn out the same on both eyes unless you have a really REALLY steady hand. So don't do it in a hurry!

New Polished!

So today Stardoll released a new Polished Collection based on Valentine's Day:

I love the nail polishes! But they are very expensive, and to be honest I don't think I would pay 17 stardollars for glitter.

V-day header and background.

So I updated the header and background.

Now I know the header doesn't say " Owner: SaraP1900" like all my other ones.

Don't fret! I am still the owner, but my photo editor was "stuck" meaning that it wouldn't do anything.

So I had already had the title and the " since November 2010" part on there, so I saved it as is.
