Mixing-A Makeup Technique

Hi,
So has this ever happened to you?
You want to create a makeup look to match your outfit. But you don't have any blue eyeshadows or lipsticks. What do you do?
Well it's simple really , you mix!
Mixing is a very simple technique and it really helps if you don't own a certain color!
Here's an example of Mixed Eyeshadow:

I know the eyeshadow is kinda lopsided but still...

I mixed LUXE Pink eyeshadow with Dot feldspar green eyeshadow. So it made a purple potion look, which is pretty cool for a mermaid makeup look.

Here's another example

This is more of an example, this was LUXE Twilight Blue eyeshadow mixed with Dot white eyeshadow to make a sky/winter blue.
How to mix
Mixing is very easy, but you have to have the right colors. Usually choose two colors that complement each other, such as purple and red.
First take a color, any color that you have. and apply it.

Then take another color, remember if you are using light colors, make sure to your a bit of white. And same goes for dark colors, except for instead of white use black.

Then near the lash line apply either black, white or brown eyeshadow/shadestick. Whichever compliments the eyeshadow, that you have mixed, the most. Or if a block color[black, white,or brown] is too harsh apply a lighter color. Such as yellow.

And Ta-Da! You're done!
[The last part is optional, reason why I included it is because I was using lighter colors and sometimes lighter colors pop if they have a little more color added. So I used my handy, French Vanilla shade stick and it turned out pretty good. But if you are gonna do the last step, then I really recommend using a shade stick instead of eyeshadow, because a shade stick is a little more transparent and will make more of a glow effect instead of a bold color, which is exactly needed for this step]

Anyway enjoy, and I may make a tutorial based on mixing soon. But I don't wanna force my self to big projjects right now so it may be while.
