Stardoll Reaches 100 Million is this a bit of a scam?

Now I may be young, but one thing I understand more than most people my age is money.

Money can help you, but it can also hurt you in a horrible way.

An example would be the great depression. So many people had invested in stocks, and lost a lot of money.

Anyway I'm not gonna babble about money or stocks, I'm gonna  talk about Stardoll's latest 'acomplishment' the 100 million members mark.

Now Stardoll still counts the abandoned anf deleted accounts, as of 9:20 PM EST here is how many members stardoll has:

We are 2'722 Members away from the 100 Million mark.

Anyway let's get down to what this post is really about.

Now first of all is this the way to say a big thank you to your members? Of Course not!

There is four 'Deals'

1: 100 Free Superstar Days

Now this is an OK offer. 100 extra days is 3 months and 1 week extra, so you would have 15 months of superstar, which is pretty nice.

2:  100 Stardollar Bonus

"When you top up your account with 200 Stardollars or more, you’ll receive an extra 100 Stardollars to spend on whatever you want! This offer is only valid until April 1st, 2011."

Now this offer is slightly a  bit too late to offer, mostly because April 1st is in two days[Today's March 30th in the US]

3: 100 Free Stardollars for 48 Hours

"Users that currently have 50 or more Starpoints will receive 100 free Stardollars. These Stardollars will only be available for 48 hours, so here’s your chance to get those items you’ve always wanted! So new users can't celebrate too? Wow Stardoll...

But anyway, each story has two sides

The Good Side) 100 Free Stardollars? Sweet!

The Bad Side) You only have 48 Hours to spend it, which is kinda stupid, and a bit unnecessary. Why should we have to spend it within a certain time? I mean are you trying to expand a bigger version of Play&Earn?

4: A Lottery Full of Last Years Tribute Items

"Upgrading your account to Superstar or just topping it up will automatically enter you in an exciting special lottery-- we’re giving out 100 unique gifts from last year’s legendary Tribute stores for 100 very lucky winners! This offer is only valid until April 5th, 2011. "

Oh Crap, I was reading on Lel1996's blog how the lottery in 2008  just increased  hacking, so if Stardol re-released these items in a lottery wouldn't it just make the matter a bit worse? Hacking just for free Sonia Rykiel or DVF  ? Unnecessary really.

Now this proves my point, Stardoll will go to the full extreme of bringing out a lottery just so people will buy SS and Top-ups, really in my eyes doing all of this stuff isn't right. Shouldn't Stardoll  celebrate the members with free things? Such as a free Shirt, cake and SS for a day for Non SS members of course that isn't very likely...
